Second call to extension does not ring**FIX PROVIDED

All,

I have just updated a 3CX system to V9. When running V8 we were able to have a second call ring a phone that has an active call in progress. Now the system ignores that extension in the ring group and rings everyone but that extension. This is a big problem as this means ignored customers. We are running the latest release and Linksys SPA942/Snom 820 phones. This happens if the phone is provisioned or manually configured.

Does anyone have any input on this?

Just an additional note: The system is configured on each extension to allow multiple calls to ring to it (phone status)

See if this is what you are looking for -

in individual extensions - check the forwarding rule, under "Available" is an option "I want to be able to accept more than one call at the same time - uses Phone Status."

Turn that on and see if that solves your issue.

This is on, as it was in V8. Now it just doesn't work on external incoming calls. The extensions can receive 2+ internal calls but not be on any call and receive an incoming external call from the ring groups.

ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP ="1" will enable use of phone 'Busy' status instead of 'PBX status' for members of ring groups 1

What is this value set in your scenario? If it is 0 set to 1. this will enable ring groups to accept multiple calls when option to accept more than 1 call is enabled on the members of this ring group.

Thanks for the update. Now since you need this behavior, you will not have any problems again because when you take a backup to go to an updated version, this parameter will be saved and restored.
