I’m rolling out 3CX across multiple primary schools, we have a head office where the box is installed and sbc’s at each school

I want to section the phone book so that users when they search only come up with extensions to either their own school or the head office, not for other schools, I still want them to have the ability to call other school extensions, but not have them appear in the app unless they change a group heading

which would be the best way to approach this

I’m trying to make it easier to find users on your own site rather then trawl through 8000 extension numbers

Hi @chrisjako,

Why not remove the sharing of presence information? This way nothing but the PBX's extensions will appear in the Web Client etc.

You could create a group for each school.

Hi @chrisjako,

Yes, @Lee Cramman is correct, I missed the part about groups. In this case, sharing the presence information automatically creates a different group:

What you'll need to do is have your Web Client users use the "Default" rather than "All Groups" when wanting to see their own internal extensions, and then select the Groups (renamed to each school's name) if they'd like to see those extensions.
