Hi All,
I've been researching various phone systems and was wondering if some could comment on a couple of things re: the 3CX system.
One of our primary requirements is the ability to support remote extensions, but support them in a secure, easy and cost effective manner (meaning without too much hard- and software inventment and with minimal configuration).

My understanding after searching through this forum (these are more questions than statements):
1. the tunnel mode takes care of NAT related issues, but does not secure the actual call traffic
2. SSIP is a good alternative, but is only supported by SNOM end devices
3. ("built-in") OpenVPN is another alternative, but is currently also only supported by SNOM devices
4. there are currently no other devices that support any kind of built in "secure" functionality (IPSec, TLS or similar)
5. any kind of other secure communication requires external hard- or software VPN functionality

Is my understanding correct?
Thx in advance to all!
Rgds - Marcus.

Not only Snom, you may consider other built-in VPN phone set, all my clients use it happily.

Thx for the reply.
What brands/models are your clients using?

Thx!

We usually carry Quatel for VPN solution.
