We are a healthcare company and are looking at using the 3CX Chat feature. Chat Apps like TigerText force the user to add a PIN and/or Password to their phones during installation. Is there anyway to secure the 3CX and chats from prying eyes by either forcing a login/pass on the phone itself or to open the 3CX app / chat after unlock?

Hi, there are many third party apps that you can install from Google Playstore to make this possible.
Cannot recommend any particular app, but a quick Google Search for 'Android Lock apps' will provide many results.
Certain phone brands also allow this functionality natively in the Android OS.

That would still require the end-user to have the option to install and lock (or not). I believe to be fully compliant we need the necessary controls in place to guarantee the texting app is at a minimum password protected either going into the app, or the phone itself.

Use your MDM to enforce phone lock is the correct way to do this.
App locks are fairly useless because the data is usually not encrypted when the phone is unlocked but the app is closed.
