self identification message

Why doesn't the welcome message direct the new users to record their self identification message? Also, why is there no mention of this in the Administration Manual? Yes, I'm aware it's covered in the training video. IMHO, this is a significant documentation deficiency.

EDIT: Also, no mention of it in the user manual. Seems like it should be covered in all these spots, especially in the user facing documentation.

Thanks for the link, I voted. You'd think a year later, they would have added documentation for a key feature.

Forum posts are not really documentation and yet the only searchable information are the many people asking why dial by name doesn't work, and a blog post form 2014 that does not explain what the purpose of the self identification message is...
