Hi all,

We are doing a Proof of Concept for a customer, and one thing they need is a transcript of a call answered by a 3CX AI Agent to be emailed to a shared mailbox. I cannot see any options for this currently, I only know of the option for if this was a named user. Has anyone ever done this before?

Kind regards,

Hi everyone,

We have a very similar requirement for a customer project and would love to see this supported or know if anyone found a workaround.

In our setup, when an incoming call is answered by a 3CX AI Agent (e.g., overflow/after-hours receptionist or ticket-logging assistant), we need the full conversation context / call transcript automatically sent as an email via perform_email to a central shared inbox or department address (e.g., [email protected]).

Currently, perform_email requires resolving a directory contact with can_receive_email=true or relying on specific extension data. Having a direct option in 3CX AI Agent settings to automatically email call transcripts/summaries to a specified email address or shared mailbox (or exposing the transcript payload via Webhooks/API) would be extremely useful.

Has anyone managed to handle this cleanly or heard if this feature is on the product roadmap?

Thanks!

Can you give me some more information on how you have accomplished this setup? Cause we are trying to figure out how we can send a transcribe to an email with the info that the AI collected.

You may want to look at our 3CX Recording Manager. This tool can send an email with the transcript to a central repository (email address). We can help!

One other angle worth considering is what happens to that information after the call.

Beyond emailing a transcript to a shared mailbox, it can be useful to have the AI-collected information associated with the customer or contact so the team can refer back to it later.

We develop VisNetic MailFlow, an email and contact management system that includes Notes on individual contacts or tickets. That gives a team a place to keep customer-specific information and context alongside its email interactions, rather than relying entirely on a shared inbox to retain the history.

It doesn't solve the specific 3CX transcript-emailing requirement by itself, but it could be a useful complementary piece of the workflow, particularly if the goal is to make the information collected by the AI useful to the people handling the customer afterward.
