This is actually a followup to https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/sennheiser-headsetup-pro-wont-open.66302/ but that thread from June is closed.

To recap and update a bit, we could not get Sennheiser HeadSetup Pro to open when run as a standard user. Several later versions of the Sennheiser 3CX Plugin released since June also blocked the 3CX Windows client from opening when run as a standard user. (it opened as a Background Task per Task Manager)

I just spent and hour and half with three Sennheiser techs. We resolved both issues by renaming two files to disable them:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Sennheiser\SenncomSDK\CertUtil\certutil.exe.disabled
C:\Program Files (x86)\Sennheiser\HeadSetup Pro\Plugins\CertUtil\certutil.exe.disabled

Manually running the certutil command logged to their log file showed the command is prompting for a PIN/password to the Mozilla Firefox certificate store if the programs are run as a standard user. So with both the Sennheiser 3CX plugin and the Sennheiser HeadSetup Pro installed, and the above two files renamed, both programs open and I get call control with the headset button.
