Solved Set up 3CX in Win10 and later move to Windows Server?

Hi

Today I have an Avaya server (which software runs on a Windows Server 2012R2). I don't want to change this server until my 3CX installation is fully set up.

Is it possible for me to set 3CX up on a Windows PC and then later move all the settings to a Windows Server? Is it just a backup and restore if IP's are the same?

Yes you can back up, shut the old server down (or uninstall) and restore on the new. Another option is to set up a Linux VM in Hyper-V and restore to that.

Note the Windows version of 3CX isn't supported on 2012 R2 anymore... https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/phone-system-installation-windows/
