Hello,

I'm have a problem with SFTP backup on 3CX. The system can connect to the SFTP server but backup file is not transferred.
The backup was working, then suddenly just stopped transferring

Things I tried

1. Tried telnet to the destination server on port 22 - can connect.
2. Tried `netstat` to the same server and port - can connect.
3. Manual SFTP SSH from the 3CX server - can send files.
4. Created a new SFTP user and changed the folder path to /test/3CX - can create the folder but the backup file still not transfer.
5. The same SFTP configuration works fine with other 3CX servers.

Any idea what could be the problem? Thanks you.

Hello,

Anything in the 3CX logs? Preferably debug mode.

Best,
KS.

A suggestion, if the server has some idle time, do a service restart just to clear out anything that might be stuck - perhaps a transfer stalled and is keeping things blocked.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

I tested everything again.even tried service restart but still not working.

3CX can create the folder on the SFTP server. But the backup file is not tranfer.
Also tested with other SFTP servers.backup works fine.

In activity log I turned on Verbose logging. but still nothing shows up about SFTP error.

As you can see in the screenshot, the folder was created but the recording file didn’t come with it.
I also checked the error logs but nothing shows up no warning or error messages.

Can we do a packet capture? PM it to me, perhaps best do a full support package. Just to have a first look.

I have the exact same problem, all my backups failed on the 17th going forward

This is the error message
Your 3CX backup failed due to the following reason(s): Timed out trying to connect!

Never had this problem before July 17th

Hi,

Do take a look on the SFTP server side, is there anything logged there?

Best,
KS.
