Hey Team,

Does Elastix support " Shared Line Appearance" function?

Thanks,

Re:Shared Line Appearances (SLA)

Hey Team,

I guess I need to be a little more informative on what I'm trying to accomplish with "Shared Line Access.....

1:) Is by default the "SLA Applications" or better still the "sla.conf no longer usable under Version 2.5.0.1?

2:) Is the module "app_meetme.so" installed by default? When I try to run the cmd line entry of "module show like app_meetme.so" I get "command not found" so I assume that cmd is no longer available under 2.5?

What I am trying to do is have a SIP Phone (Grandstream GXP-2160) be very similar to or equal to the existing key system in use now by having some of the soft key functions be programmed like a "shared line" or "Bridged Line Appearances". Had done this a few year back using the sla.conf, but I'm seeing now that that config file is not available in the current Elastix Server directories....

Maybe someone else has a way of doing this other than using the sla.conf files? Current system in use is a "Key System" with six (6) inbound PSTN lines, each line shows ringing on each station and each station has the ability to answer it and place it back on hold....so, I need for Line-1, Line-2, etc to be displayed on each sip desk phone, and when a call comes in on Line-1 to ring on each station, and/or show when the line is on hold or in use with the blf, and that any one extension can pick up a call on line-1 and place it back on public hold (meaning available to any other station)... by the way, the PSTN lines will be connected to a Grandstream GXW-4108 gateway that converts the PSTN lines to SIP like trunks. Only way I know of doing this is with the "Shared Line Appearances (SLA) (or I guess the term of "Bridged Line Appearances (BLA)" may be the correct term.).

I'm open for suggestions or re-educating..... I know there is a way to do this but with the old way one would modify the sla.conf and extensions.conf files and using the BLF functions, but with today's Elastix/Asterisk versions sla.conf is not there and extensions.conf is not supposed to be edited.... so how does one make a sip setup look and act like a key system?....

Thanks for any help or suggestions,
