Shared Parking 1 bounces call back to extension

I am hoping someone can help.

We recently upgraded to v20 after multiple false starts.

We are now experiencing an issue where using the Windows Desktop App BLF side panel, we are attempting to park a call to SP1, the call then calls the extension back immediately.

Shared Parking 1-8 are in the same department as all of the staff.
Call Parking is set to 9 spaces (0-8). We just do not use 0 on the BLF.
We do not have "Automatically unpark forgotten calls" enabled.

This happens for all staff (approx 70 of them) when using SP1.
All other SP's 2-8 and 0 work as intended.

Has anyone experienced this and do they know how to fix it?

Hi,

You probably added SP1 to a department (normally they are not in any dept. so anyone can use them).

And possibly the users trying to access it are in another department.

In that case the transfer to SP1 will fail.

So make sure that your Departments do not contain any SP and then all the SP will be free to use by everyone.

A restart of the server in the middle of the business day fixed it. I was loathe to take down the phone server in the middle of the day, but other staff started randomly experiencing the issue with other Shared Parking options (ie some stopped working and then started again).

I have removed the Shared Parking from our one and only department in the meantime.

Also since you mentioned you came from V18, please be advised that the old app has been replaced.
We are no longer working on the old app so compatibility is not guaranteed going forward.
