Show only internal directory

Is there a way to provision snom phones to only show internal contacts? We have over 3500 external contacts in our directory and
- our snom only show 2000 of them
- it's really unusable to search for internal names

The phones have a hardware limit of 2000 according to Snom.

If you want to be able to use more than that then I suggest you start using the 3CX Webclient or Desktop app.
Hardware phones have a small memory capacity and limited CPU resources so it cannot handle as much as a desktop PC can.

Thanks but this doesn't answer my question unfortunately.
We want to limit the internal directory to show only the internal numbers and avoid syncing to the 3cx directory. This is because of the limitations you suggested.

Is it possible by modifying the phone template?

Hi,

Sorry I misunderstood you the first time. I'm afraid you cannot have only the internal extensions like you want.

The only options you have for the phonebook are the following:

- Include everything, Company Contacts & Extensions together

- Include only Company Contacts (Extensions can be individually excluded)


Modifying the templates cannot change this behavior.

Phonebook is a subject that unfortunatelly never got any improvment since years, perhaps one day it will be on stack top
