Signaling 2nd Call in Ringgroup

Hello
I have a Ringroup set with 3 Phones. All three phones are used by the same person, depending where she is in the building. The Problem is now, that if one phone is busy, incomming calls are not signaled anymore on this phone, only on the other two. I assume this is a feature (which kind of make sense depending on the use case) it is very disturbing for this application as this call will then be lost.

My question:
- Is there an option that also in a ringgroup a second call will be signaled on a phone that already has an active call?
- Any ideas how i could solve this use case in another way?

The Problem is also that we had the exact same feature on our previous PBX (Askozia, taken over by 3CX) so it is very hardly missed.

Hi Christian,

What you want is a feature such as "accept multiple calls" which is only available on an extension.

You can register your multiple endpoints to this extension and and even have a call ring their GSM mobile number if you want.

What I would suggest you do is scrap the ring-group and use this feature. Be aware that they will take up an additional simultaneous call if used.

Your statement, that the call will be lost, seems to indicate that no one else is a member of this ring group. If that is the case, then don't use a ring group, simply put her extension number on multiple sets (SIP forking). You could even have it appear twice, two keys, on each set, to allow a second call to be answered after the first was put on hold

Thanks for the hint, it didn't come to my mind that I can assign multiple phones to one extension. Solves this problem (but creates the one where I would like to make internal calls between the phones in this group). What I see during the quick test is also that when I take the call on e.g. phone 1 it shows as missed call on phone 2. Will have to work a little bit on that solution.

The Setup is a small company with quite a big facility. So it doesn't work that we can assign a phone to a specific individual. Sometimes the person in charge of answering to customers is in the office, sometimes in the shop That's solvable with multiple phones on one extension.
However there are also times when I have to forward a call from the office to the shop. That is the reason why we would like to use multiple extension (Office, Shop, Warehouse) with a ring-group and would still like to be able to make a call or forward a customer to a specific phone.

You can Park the call to a shared parking slot and pick it up by another phone that uses the same extension. Depending on the phones you are using you can go to extension settings / BLF and assign a Shared parking slot. This will apply to all phones of the extension. So if one phone parks the call the other device will see the BLF light up and will be able to pick the call up

Thanks you very much for your answer. However, I don't think this will solve my problem, I am pretta sure nobocy will see the small BLF light and then pickup the phone, as mentionend some of the phones are in a workshop.

There are solutions which I can make working with some significant drawbacks, however for the "real" solution I would need a ring-group that signals incomming calls also on busy phones and individual extensions at the different locations.
Additionally my tests show that with shared extensions a call will show as missed on phone A when picked up on Phone B, also not something I like. (Snom D715 and D765).

So it would be great if you implemented an option to enable call signaling on busy phones in a ringgroup. It seems to me that this should be quite easy and is not that an exotic request.
