Solved Simultaneous ringing multiple devices

There are several posts here on simultaneous ringing on cellphones. But they seem to be for the older version. I'm running v16 Professional.

1. How can I configure simultaneous ringing for both the deskphone extension and external cell phone call? If I can't, can I configure a ring group, one extension calling the deskphone and the other extension forwarding the call to an external cell phone?
   In the second case, what happens to the call if no answer? Can I forward the call to the user extension voicemail?

If an extension has the "ring my mobile" option set, then a direct call to that extension will ring both the desk set and mobile. The call will then go to the extensions voicemail after the timeout set.

You could also create a ring group with two members, the desk set, and a new (dummy) extension that has the ring my mobile option set. The ring group can be set to ring the members for, say 15 seconds, then , if no answer, route the call to the desk sets voicemail. This would be better used if you wanted more than one mobile to be rung.

Yes, the ring group has a destination to route the call if not answered.

Keep in mind that if the mobile has voicemail, or is out of the area (not registered), then the call may go to the mobiles voicemail. Timing (ring time before VM) is important.

and, the ring group with two members, but the cell phone does not ring - in both cases. I've changed cell phone numbers as well

Activity logs gives the following errors... I've put the xxx's for privacy options.

Ext 111 is the call from extension.
Ext 501 is the call to extension.

Nevermind... got it working.
I realized the extension that I was trying wasn't included among the extensions with the outbound calling rule. Please mark this solved.

You got this when no specific outbound rule is created for system to be able to call out

The default outboud rule had all extensions, except the one I was testing with, in the call from field. Once I added the extension, it worked.

Glad to hear it was resolved @roshansimon this is usually the culprit, the system blocks the call from being made due to not finding a matching rule. Good work!
