Does anyone have experience in setting up SIP with a carrier so site A is primary and site B is secondary. We have 15.5 and site A is where the primary virtual 3CX sits and site B is where we have the alternate host but not built to carry voice separately, just a host site that would carry back to site A and out. Is 3CX active/active in the sense that phones can register to both?

I'm curious if flapping would occur if site A has momentary issues and phones keep flip flopping. Are there any guides that help design this? and help me to make sure i order correctly? Also any personal experiences would be good to hear,. This is a US carrier

While many VoIP sets have a feature to allow registration to multiple sites, 3CX , even with a fail-over https://www.3cx.com/docs/failover/, doesn't make use of that in auto-provisioning. The decision to use one site or another would rely on a update in the DNS servers as to which 3CX install to connect to.. As far as "flapping"...VoIP devices re-register at a pre-determined time, usually set by the server, but can be set in the device. The device has no idea if a server is available until it attempts a re-registration (or a call), which could be, depending on settings, 30 minutes apart.
