Hello Everyone
First of all thanks for stopping and pitching in on this .i have a quick question . Does anyone know where to look for NAME and NUMBER part in sip trace ? i have setup 3cx with Generic SIP trunks (not listed in 3cx) and as per the provider they have opened the trunk for me so that i can send whatever name and number i want but my problem is that i can only send out NUMBER but not name.i have programmed the NAMES for all the extensions and the NAMES don't go out.

Here is some information on the structure of Invites...

https://www.3cx.com/docs/sip-trunk-outbound-calls/

If a name is being sent, then it should be clearly visible in the Invite. It does not mean that your provider will make use of it, or ,it could be that they require it be in some other field.

Since you say you are using a Generic trunk, I have to assume it is not one that has been tested with 3CX. If you provide the name of the provider, perhaps someone else, who has had experience with them, and can offer some advice.

The first step is to ask your provider in which SIP fields do they want the names and numbers sent. They may support any number and name but they need to read it from somewhere. So ask them which SIP header they use to read the names and numbers from and adjust your SIP trunks outbound parameters accordingly.
