Hi,

I have had a few users complain there is a couple of seconds delay on the line when calling a skype for business dial in number and I need some help to figure out where the issue is. Internal calls are usually fine but occasionally we can hear our own voice faintly. External calls coming in appear to be fine.

We are using 3CX Professional Annual 16.0.2.910 and it is hosted on premise as a Linux VM running on Windows Hyper-V.

Any help will be very useful.

Thanks

James

Run a packet capture on 3CX and try to see where the RTP stream is delayed.

The Activity Log will show you the timeline for a call, from when 3CX receives an Invite from an extension, until it is passed onto a provider. You would then know if there is any delay within 3CX.

A couple of seconds delay may be normal (Skype could confirm). I've experienced 10 to 15 second delays, before ringback, when calling some mobile numbers

I have a trace which i have opened in Wireshark and can see the calls going out to our sip supplier and the connection to Skype for Business's dial in number. What should i be looking for and is there a way of analysing the trace as i`m not super hot on Wireshark?
