Hello All,

I've searched and searched the forums, but can't seem to find and answer. Is there a way to monitor PTSN lines on my GXP2000's BLF lines? I want to be able to pick up those lines from any phone, as we are a large office with a small staff. I'm using v10.0.24018.2322

Best way is probably a ring group.
What devices are you using to convert PSTN?
What is the path of the PSTN lines now?
PSTN -> ext ?

Phones: GXP 2000's
FXO Gateway: Patton 4114
Trunks: virtual extension numbers: 10002,10003,10004,10005

PS: I did set up a ring group "all" to ring all incoming calls on every phone, but I'd like to pick them up wherever, when I place the call on hold.

I would set up some of your buttons then as Shared Parks.
On my Yealinks I use "Shared Park" as the button type and the value is SP0 or SP1, or SP2, etc.

Is that available in the free version?

I didn't think that it was. There has to be a way to do SLA. Has anyone done this?

Which kind of SLA (http://www.abbreviations.com/SLA)?

Shared Line Appearance. When a virtual extension on the FXO gateway is in use, I want that to be seen on all of my GXP2000's on the custom BLF lines.

I'm not sure if you can monitor the status of a trunk virtual extension, using BLF features on a set. I guess you could, in a way by pointing each line to one extension number, that appears on all sets. If that extension were busy, and your outbound rules restricted calls to each trunk from only certain extensions, then you could assume that the trunk was in use because the extension was.

It sounds as if you are trying to replicate a key system.

I guess so. That's what the owners want. "So-and-so is on line one for you." Then they can pick up. I guess I'll try pointing the lines to an extension. I'll let you know if that works. If anyone else has any ideas, don't hesitate to post......

The other suggestion is to pay for a license and get the featureset for Shared Parking - which is what you need.
