SMS Caller ID/Name

Hello,

I'm experimenting with SMS for the first time, using Telnyx.

I often receive message from companies whereby it displays a name rather than a number, even though we don't have this number stored in our phonebook (based in the UK).

Telnyx have pointed me in the direction of this article https://support.telnyx.com/en/articles/4371498-sending-alphanumeric-sms

Is there some configuration we can do on 3CX?

Keep in mind that the SMS features built into 3CX are strictly for the chat feature. If you want to do something beyond what 3CX provides in the chat feature, you will need to build your own SMS application using the Telnyx SMS API. 3CX does not provide a SMS API of their own.
