SMS Messages Via Zoho

3CX doesn't support SMS at the moment. You might wanna take a look at Twilio for that. They have an excellent API.

Well... crap.... how did I miss that? Too late to turn back now I suppose. I guess I saw the chat feature thinking it was texting. Thanks for the quick response!

You can "text" between 3CX clients. IP phones messages won't show up nor external SMS.

However, don't get your hopes down, 3CX is working on implementing this feature.

It was the chat between clients I was looking at and didn't realize that wasn't SMS. Good to know they are working on it though!

Frederick, do you know if they have committed to any time frames? Just trying to set expectations with our staff.

Unfortunately they never commit to any timeframe. In software development, you can never guess when you'll be done.

The best you can do is find a workaround in the meantime and then switch to 3CX once that feature has been released.

I was looking more for a line in the sand, like Q4 of this year. We will continue with what we are doing. Thanks.

Hmm, maybe Q4 2019 but my guess is more like Q2/3 2020. They are working on core features and enhancements that will permit those kind of feature more easily.
