SMS on self hosted

We are hosting on our own VMs for our customers and providing SIP trunks as well. Are there any easy to implement SMS APIs for simple messaging? We run Enterprise versions on all our deployments if that matters.

That would depend on the carrier, 3cx has it's own API for SMS, if you are providing SIP trunks, I assume you are the carrier? If so than you also provide SMS API? I am a little confused. I use telnyx for my sip trunk and use 3cx webhook to make it all work.

Unfortunately we're using a Ribbon Networks C15 and it has no SMS capabilities, so I'm looking for a easy to implement trunk service for SMS.

Are you are going to use a different DID for SMS? Than I would simply go to https://www.3cx.com/partners/sip-trunks/ and find a service that fits your needs, If your current provider does not support SMS, you may need to port DID's to one that does.
