We assigned some DIDs from the VOIP carrier while we were awaiting number port process to complete.

A User on the system was assigned XXX-YYY-1234. That user could send/receive texts from that DID.

Once the legacy number was ported, it was added to the User. The XXX-YYY-1234 was removed from the User profile in 3CX.

Tests to XXX-YYY-1234 STILL get routed to that User even though the DID "doesn't exist" on the system for routing purposes other than being assigned to the SIP trunk at the base level.

Why is this happening?

Is it a bug?

How can we set a DEFAULT "route SMS to here if DID is not assigned" on the system?

If the calls are still being routed then there is the possibility that it is a ssigned as the default route for the trunk

This would not show as a DID in this case

How can we set a DEFAULT "route SMS to here if DID is not assigned" on the system?
You could assign these to a Digital receptionist and then send the SMS to a destination

That actually makes sense in that the default route is a Call Queue. SMS to a queue goes to whoever picks it up first. A person further down in the actual "ringing" part of the queue was answering the texts and confusing the dickens out of me as to how THEY were getting the texts. Thank you.
