SMS Sip Trunk Configurations with Providers not on 3cx's list

Am I to believe that 3CX is forcing Enterprise users to use SMS providers who pay 3cx's interop fee? The SMS providers that 3cx allows require you to port your existing numbers over to them. That is very costly. If I am paying for an Enterprise license I should be able to use whatever provider I want. Are there any other users experiencing this. I have to move 19 DID's now if I want to use the SMS feature.

Use the Hosted SMS with Telnyx. Porting is free with them and you can keep voice with your current provider.

By the way, there's many reason why it's a limited selection, the main one being: APIs.

@sgval1 even I will not go into 3CX internals, but it has nothing to do with who pays us or not to be in there or not.
We pick reliable and good working providers in this space and do the integration for you. Unlike VoIP, there is no unified standard for how platforms send and receive SMS messages. Therefore we limit it to the popular choices in the market.

I asked my provider to look into this but since your wording says you picked then they should be on your list. DIDWW. Again, I cant be asked to port my numbers over to another provider to use this functionality. If you want please reach out to me to get this interop done. I can test with my account. I have written scripts through zapier to create sms to email with DIDWW and it works fine.

As was already mentioned, you don't need to port your numbers over to another provider. The SMS portion of the number can be split off to use with one of the supported providers such as Telnyx or Twilio.
