Hi all,

a while back our SNOM D305 started having problems. The phones are ringing but neither the caller nor the called can hear anything. I checked the 3CX Portal and it complainded about the firmware not beeing up to date.
I updated the firmware to the 3CX recommended version (10.1.54.16 according to https://www.3cx.com/support/phone-firmwares/). The firmware update worked without problems, but still no sound for the caller or called.
The 3CX version we are using is 16.0.1078

What I also have done:
- checked the templates. We are using the standard templates.
- activated "PBX Delivers Audio"
- re-provisioning
- reset to factory settings and new configuration

Nothing helped! Does someone have an idea what else I can try. Thank God, due to the pandamic we are all working from home at the moment, so the SNOM D305 are not used since everybody is using the mobile and/or desktop app. But I still need to figures this out. :)

Help is really appreciated!

Thanks!

Kind regards,

Markus

Where is your PBX, on premise? on cloud ?
did you pass green firewall checker ?

The firewall checker is green

an we host on AWS.

It's just strange that it worked before and now it doesn't anymore.

Hey @MarkusMichalksi,

Is this a Debian 9 machine?
Which provisioning method were these Snom D305s provisioned with(STUN, SBC, etc)?
Is this issue only affecting external calls or internal as well(extension-to-extension calls)?

Hi @ChrisC_3CX,

the machine is running on a Debian GNU/Linux 9 (Version 9.13)
The provision for the phones is Local LAN (in the office) and all calls, external and internal, are affected.

This is a bit confusing, how was your phone working this far if the PBX is in the cloud yet you had it provisioned as LAN?

The above option is only viable if the phones and the PBX are on the same local network.
