Hi to all,

We have found after an upgrade from version v16 to v18 that the Snom D785 phone with D7C expansion module crashes randomly. When in lockout the phone remains unregistered but does not give the possibility to access the network. Rebooting the phone fails to provision until the D7C module is disconnected and the phone is reset.
We have also tried deleting the phone from the extension and plugging it in again, waiting for the provisioning to finish and then reconnecting the expansion module. Unfortunately, after a while the phone locks up.

Below is the installation information

3CX Version: Professional Annual 18.0.1880
Server OS: Debian 10
IP Phone: Snom D785 / Firmware 10.1.73.16
Provisioning Method: Local
Firewall Checker passed: YES
Custom Phone Templates being used: NO

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi @neuralnetwork

I'm not really aware of anything that would make a difference between V16 and V18 that could lead to this behavior, and our testing has not shown any issues with various brands of phones including Snom. I would not rule out any factors just yet, including power starvation or hardware fault.

Under the circumstances, you should probably contact Snom Support directly to report the issue and provide them with anything they might need to help troubleshoot the issue.

Please share anything you find out as I'm sure it could help other forum members in the future.

Thanks for the feedback, we will contact Snom to submit the issue. I can assure you that with the v16 version it has been working without problems for months, right after upgrading to v18 the problem occurred.
