Snom M85 Battery

Hi,
Can anyone from Australia give me a heads up on where I can source replacement batteries for the Snom M85 DECT handset?
The battery is Lithium 3.7v 1100mAh
I have tried distributors of Snom in Australia and online stores and no body has stock of them.
Best I can do is a 650mAh unit.

I used to work at a distributor for snom and acquiring batteries for DECT handsets was always a real problem. Have you contacted whomever you bought the devices from ?

Hi eddv, yes i have tried both of the 2 suppliers we purchase our voice hardware from. the first no longer stock Snom and the second could only offer a similar battery that will fit in the handset but has a mAh rating almost half the original battery.

Dependent on what country you are located in have you tried contacting your local snom Distributor:

You have to go via the snom sales team I believe.

I'm in Australia. yeah, I've called our on shore Disti's.
The numbers in that hyperlink for Australia are based in Germany and South Africa.

I guess that is going to be a lot of work to send a battery from SA to Aus - have you tried Ebay, Amazon or some place like that ? I am grasping at straws now based on your current location.

I would try amazon / ebay - the battery is probably used in other items so you should be able to find it

You are correct. I went to a local battery store and they have an identical unit. It is listed as being for a Nokia 1100 cell phone. It works just fine in the Snom M85.
