Hello,

We run 3CX on a Windows 10 VM. I created a backup of V16 (config, audio, recordings etc), uninstalled V16, installed V18 and imported config/audio/recordings/etc from backup as prompted. The Yealink phones are able to connect to 3CX and it seems to work, however when I try to login to the web admin environment I get a "Server Error" message regardless of credentials (I tried entering wrong credentials too).

I rebooted the VM and the Yealink phones have connected without any issues, also my iPhone 3CX app is able to connect, but I keep having issues while trying to login to the web interface.

Any ideas on how to proceed?

Sincerely,
George Vardikos

Check the all 3cx services have started - run services.msc

You will probably find one has not started - highlight it and click on start

For the service that did not start , I would change the start type to automatic delay

Hello Saqqara,

Thank you for your reply. Indeed there were 2 services which were not running:

I right clicked on "3CX PhoneSystem 01 Management Console" and it started (I was able to login to the web interface), however I rebooted the VM and the service did not automatically start again. I tried starting it and got the attached error, however in a second try it started without issues (and I then started 3CX Gateway Service which required the Management Console service).

So, my issue seems to be that the Management Console service doesn't start automatically and it needs some time before being able to manually start.

Sincerely,
George Vardikos
