Some Quick Questions Before I Start ...

Hi,

I am looking at implementing the 3CX PBX system (when the new build is released within the next few days). What is a good Gateway/FXO to use (for example, Linksys SPA400)? What has worked well for people - ideally what we are looking at is a two line system initially and then perhaps expanding to four.

Also, is there any anticipated integration with Exchange 2007 Unified Messaging? I like the idea of receiving voicemails and having them appear in my inbox like any other message that I can listen to online.

Hi M,

We've had excellent experiences with the Linksys PAP2 (SPA2102) as FXOs (easy to set up and quality is excellent), we're currently testing the SPA3000 for FXS (not working yet, but we're working on it). As for voicemail-to-mail, 3CX currently already supports this through SMTP, but I understand they are working on Exchange UMI integration.

Yes we are planning Exchange 2007 integration.

We have not tested with that particular gateway, however as watashi reports it seems to be working. We have tested with

Grandstream gateways
Patton gateways
Vegastream gateways
Dlink gateways
micronet gateways
Clipcomm gateways
Sipura SPA3000

And these all work
