SPA-3102 with fax => distorted result

After configuring 3CX and SPA-3102 according to the guide (http: //www.3cx.com/sip-phones/linksys-spa-3102-fax/ No longer available. New link: http://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/), the extension is registered and a fax from SPA-3102 to 888 works but is distorted. Faxes to external numbers are disrupted and reported failed due to "communication errors".

So faxing to 888 "works" but the image is distorted and not readable. See attachment for sample.

Any ideas?

What happens if you direct the incoming fax call to an extension with a fax machine on it? What about sending out from a fax machine? You aren't running anything through a hub are you?

Have you tried incoming faxes from more than one machine?

I've tried incoming/outgoing faxes from different sources/destinations.

Even sending from 180 (SPA3102 extension) to 888 (3CX fax) gives this distorted result.

The SPA3102 is configured as a SIP extension, not as gateway.
