I know it's an unsupported configuration but I'm looking at a situation where this might need to be a the case for a few months. I don't have any more of these phones lying around to test myself so just curious if anyone else has done this for any period of time. I've seen posts where folks have used other unsupported devices manually configured via SBC but not specifically these phones.

Thanks

Not SBC but we've got a couple of legacy sites with 504G's setup in STUN mode (not something I setup myself or endorsed personally) however they have been working for a ages in a live environment without issues.

For SBC however, like with the unsupported gateway configuration, I would of thought it would of been the case of pointing the phone manually to register to the SBC IP address (unless it supports a proxy address). You can do this manually or by amending a template.

I do have a couple of 504's here and SBC so if you need a 100% answer i can test at least the connection setup and calling if you need.

What I can say with some certainty is that you will have a limited feature-set however if it is only temporary then your customer should understand this.

Well the customer has been using the SPA phones for years now with 3CX so the feature set shouldn't change with this. I just want to get their PBX offsite and then eventually start replacing handsets. I guess I'll just ebay a SPA phone and test it out.

Thanks!
