We've never used the web meeting feature before.

Following recent global events (!) I've been asked to support a Webinar for up to 80 doctors tomorrow and to make sure it doesn't go wrong (!!!).

Technically I know how to set it up and we have a Pro license but given our (Google Cloud) deployment has only ever handled voice I was wondering if I need to think about the specifications of the VM doing the hosting.

I can't find any recommendations - can anyone help? We're currently rocking a "g1-small" instance. Should I be looking to upgrade?

Thanks

The webmeeting does not use your PBX or your machine. It is hosted on 3CX's cloud so you don't need to change anything on your system!

We've only had one real issue here - for a conference invite that was sent out with a dial in option we had more people attempt to call in than anticipated at a smaller site. This site only has an 8SC license, but had about 30 people trying to call in. Had to do some training, explain the importance of joining over internet whenever available, etc. Just something to be aware of if providing a call in number.

Bandwidth is also a consideration, depending on how many participants there are, and depending on whether they enabled their camera.

As soon as our on-premise webmeeting server becomes available we will provide some more documentation regarding the requirements which can give you a better idea
