I reinstalled 3CX and configured it with Split DNS with an external and internal DNS. All the links in the management console use the external one. For example, under System Status the first quick start option is "Configure a DNS entry" and shows the external link. Also under there is provisioning which uses the external link. Reports use the internal link.

Under Troubleshooting>Parameters, there are links for internal and external, and those all show up correctly with the split DNS.

Is this normal under a split DNS configuration?

Hi There

Not quite sure what you mean by this question but With the use one single external FQDN you connect to the PBX both externally and internally using the same FQDN. Split DNS means that you configure a forward lookup zone within your internal DNS infrastructure for this external FQDN with the A record pointing to the internal IP of your 3CX Phone System Server, allowing connection using the external FQDN from inside the network. You will only need to reference a single FQDN to make connections to the PBX both internally and externally. There should be links for http and https that all use the same FQDN.

If you see anything other than the external FQDN then this means that you are not using a single FQDN.

That answers my question, thank you.
