I get this error nightly

HTTPS Certificate renewal Failed - FQDN is already in use This FQDN is taken already. If the FQDN was available at the moment you installed and now it is not, it means that the FQDN is bound to another license key. If you need to keep on using this FQDN, login to your customer portal and confirm to which license key this FQDN is bound. If it is bound to another license key, then you will need to release it from that license key and use the FQDN reservation for this installation.

There shouldn't be any other key associated with my domain. Does anyone know what to do?

3cx told me to reach out to my reseller and they were not able to help.

I think i may need to just backup and change my fqdn upon a new install. This is a step that I would prefer to not take if possible.

Hello @bloomt1990

This error indicates that the PBX was installed with a different licence key and then the key was changed without re-installing the system. While the system tries to renew the certificate it checks the FQDN and licence and those do not match.

The first thing you should so is login to your customer portal and check the key associated with your FQDN. Then check the key in the management console. If the keys are different the you will need to re-install the system to resolve this.

You will need to release the key from the costumer portal. Then create a backup of the system without including licence and FQDN information.
Uninstall the system and re-install using the backup created and the correct key
