SSL Certificate Renewal Failed

Good afternoon,

Our SSL Certificate has now expired and we've just noticed the renewal failed emails had been going into our Junk box, don't ask. We've only noticed it today as our Edge browser won't let us in, thankfully Chrome will and we'd like to know if there's a way we can fix it.

Our setup is HyperV Linux and our 3CX is version 16.0.8.9

Any tips would be grateful.

Is there any chance the 3CX PBX in question is shutdown or loses connectivity during early morning hours (1:00-5:00 am)? It is during these times the certificate renewal process will take place. If not, check if the 3CX PBX can contact 3CX's activation servers and that it an refresh it's license key information. To do this, navigate to "Settings >> License >> Refresh License Key Information" and check if you get a message.

Get the attached from the License page. Can't ping activation.3cx.com from stations on site but also noticed I can't load the page via the 4G on my mobile either.

Well there's your issue, you will have to figure out why the machine in question is unable to reach activation.3cx.com. First thing I'd recommend is checking to see if the machine can resolve the address, SSH to it and run "nslookup activation.3cx.com" , does it resolve to an IP? If yes, you then might want to consider looking into your firewall configuration. If you are running under a restricted network configuration, make sure that traffic to and from activation.3cx.com:443 is allowed and that it is not subject to security checks such as DPI, packet filtering, or any other security services running on the firewall.

If you mean that you tried to load https://activation.3cx.com:443 and you got a blank page, then that means you have managed to reach it.

Note: Pinging activation.3cx.com is expected not to work.
