I have a GoDaddy certificate that I renewed using CSRGen. The instructions a not very clear to what files needs to be replaced on the server or how to even install the renewed certificate at this link https://www.3cx.com/docs/self-hosted-instances-ssh/ . I get two files from GoDaddy by selecting the "Other" as server type. Both of these files are ending in .crt. I really dont know what to do with these files and how to install them. My current expired certificate in the "C:\Program Files\3CX Phone System\Bin\nginx\conf\instance1" folder are listed as domainname.net-crt.pem and domainname.net-key.pem and dhparam.pem. I would really appreciate if someone can spell out step by step instructions.

No it doesn't..

Hello @ccar

To renew your certificate you need to replace the current files in the folder mentioned in the guide with your new certificates. The files need to be the same and have the same name.
If you are having issues replacing the files then i would recommend using a 3CX FQDN where the certificates are automatically renewed.

When I rename the new certs to the same name as old and place in the same folder and then restart services the whole phone system just crashes. Any ideas to why that's happening? 3CX FQDN is not an option at the moment.

This is happening because the format of the files you are using is not the same as the one you are replacing.

Ok...so whats the remedy?
