Status of Texting in 3CX

Working with new client who would like to use texting capabilites.
The UC marketing blurb on the website mentions texting but I can not find the current status of doing that natively with 3CX.
I can find old threads realted to feature requests, but nothing recent.
Also not finding documentation of what it takes to do this.
Usually would suspect the use of a 3rd party gateway would be involved or 3rd Party addon.

Sounds like DID required to provide number to make it work which makes sense.
Don't see any option in Windows or Andriod client.

No SMS available in 3CX and outside of hosted platforms I don't know any product that does. We do SMS outside of 3CX but on the same platform as our SIP trunks.

Yes, i'm also not aware of any 3CX SMS feature.

I do texting directly through my voip provider by setting up a DID and terminating that on my zoiper sip client.
