This is probably a silly Q but I’ve had a fairly common occurrence with cable ISP connections where after some time the phone is stuck saying “ registering” . I exclusively use Yealink. These are always phone w/ Direct SIP (duh, I know I know)

My adventures have led me to playing with the STUN. In the config, for example the “STUN” is set to active and server is the FQDN/5060. Reading a few posts says the 3CX server isn’t actually a STUN server?

Does anyone smarter than me know if this should be enabled and server pointing to FQDN/5060? Is the 3CX latest V running a STUN server as well? Anyone have similar issues?

A STUN server, of any sort, is going to see what type of firewall the device is behind, and hopefully determine the public IP to be used in registration. You can use any STUN server you want to. I would check the 3CX Activity Log to see what a registration from one of these sets looks like up to the point that registration fails. Which end is no longer responding? Is it because messages are being directed to the wrong IP?
