successful external extension

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with configuring and using external extensions with 3CX. e.g. Server at location1 has internal extensions and external extensions setup for location1, 2 and 3. user at location 2 wants to call user at location1 or location3 and vice versa. Is this possible on version 3.1?

I also have seen the 3CX-to-3CX bridge function in version 5. Can this facilitate this request? Or is this asking too much of the system

Version 5 detect external automatically.

i have a external extension running smoothly. the other one is giving problems but that can be because of other problems
in the update 5.1 there will be a tunnel possibility

we have running only external extensions from several manufactors.

the general run ok but there are some issues to know.

sometimes 3cx pbx try to reach them on old ip after a reconnect (and ip change) of the extern place (office)

then you can not reach them but they can reach u but they can not hear you because 3cx pbx send the parcels to old ip

reboot phone or restart 3cx solve the issue.

if you use auto provisioning the config is only for internal phones ok
it also get a "space" infront of the provisioning path so it will get no future updates ;-)

BLF is not so good on extern because it seems that extern phones miss more of the notificatons and then they do not update the status lights
