SugarCRM with 3CXCRM

Hi all. I've a question to ask, a sort of "dilemma": the 3CX server is on one machine (IP 192.168.2.1) and the SugarCRM is on another machine (IP 192.168.100.2, in DMZ). I've installed and configured the 3CXCRM on the 3CX server and installed the 3CXCRM plugin on the SugarCRM machine. The question is: SugarCRM and the 3CX server must work together on the same machine or on different machine too? If on different machine, how can i set up properly SugarCRM and 3CXCRM to communicate?

If you require two devices on different subnets to communicate, then change the subnet masks of each (in this case) to 255.255.0.0

I'm not sure if they can exist on separate machines , but, I'm sure someone else here does.
