Hi

At what point when deploying 3CX PBX on Windows is it preferable to use a Server OS instead of Windows 10?

Would a Windows 10 VM with sufficient resources handle a 100 extension PBX?

This question is mainly down to cost as a Windows 10 licence is a fifth of a server licence.

The resources actually run off the hardware provided as opposed to the OS: https://www.3cx.com/docs/recommended-hardware-specifications-for-3cx/

I still however do not like to use Windows client versions for a customer PBX of any size - its a server for your clients communications system after all.

For example, for Windows server edition it can be a bit of a problem to turn off power saving options fully (at least on home edition) and requirements to go into the CLI to do this are needed.
