Suitability of BT Router

So I remember reading that there were some issues with BT home routers and SIP trunks, I have a "BT business hub 5" that I'd like to use and I'm wondering if it would be suitable or does it have the "ALG" issue that home hubs did?

Hi Oliver,

Can not tell you if the specific model has SIP ALG enabled as we don't have one but if you have a 3CX PBX behind it you can run our firewall checker and see if the SIP ALG test passes.
If you receive an error in regards to SIP and you don't have a firewall in front your PBX then it probably means that your modem has SIP ALG enabled.
