Swapping Caller ID Number and Name

Is it possible to swap the position of the caller ID number and name around? We have a customer that is more interested in the cname of the caller than their number on physical and softphones but because of the number being displayed first the name is generally chopped down to 3 or 4 letters.

Possibly not, as one field is numeric only and one is alphanumeric. So, while it may be possible to sent a number, in the name field (which happens often in the PSTN world), it may not be possible the other way around. Others can toss in their two cents...
