System extension just for recordings?

Hello,

Is there any system extension that just could be used for automatic recordings? As I see, you can only record a call if an extension picks up the call. What happens if we want to use 3CX also as a recorder? Could we record a call just sending it to a system extension or similar?

Thanks @StefanW ,I've tested now and it works fine!!! I've created a dummy extension with an exception on Forwarding Rules (*, allways, to voicemail) and have modified promptset to play a silence instead the default menu audio. Just we have in consideration that recordings are allocated than Voicemail folder (C:\ProgramData\3CX\Instance1\Data\Ivr\Voicemail\Extensions\<dummy_ext>).

PS: This is valid when you call directly to that extension but you cannot for example add it to a conference to record the session because it is not registered. In this situation you need to use a softphone with auto answer option always enabled (fe: Phonerlite) and being the extension configured on 3CX to be always recorded, and joining it to the conference. Thanks for your help @StefanW
