Hi all,

I have a new customer with some T42G's they need to use - I have downloaded and tried to firmware update but to no avail.

Current firmware is 29.80.23.100 and the latest on 3CX page is 29.83.0.145 - when trying to upgrade to this the page just hangs, been there for over an hour saying "firmware updating".

I even tried the one from the Yealink page, version 29.83.0.130 and that does the same.

I surmise this needs to be done incremently but where can I get older firmware in order to step up?

Also how do i get back into the device once it failed my first try, won't let me log back in the GUI.

Kind regards,

David.

As I recall the ".23" indicates a custom firmware...were these phones from another PBX?

If you have an older firmware number and 3CX supported it you can change the number in the URL on the 3CX download page.

If the phone resets is it reverting to the default credentials, admin/admin?

You are correct. It needs to be 0 or 1 to be a "neutral" version in the first octet. .

@Demvaril when was the phone manufactured? Before or after May 10th, 2013?

Thanks for the responses.

I actually closed the page after an hour and went to log back in, had to put https:// in front of the IP and it allowed me to login and had actually upgraded. So managed to get them on in the end.

They did come from another PBX, Broadworks it was I think.

But all is good.

Thanks again.
