Hi,

We have ~300 phones of different models, never had an issue before with firmware updates. We've found that the T42U is failing to provision if we upgrade it in 3cx to anything newer than firmware 108.86.0.77.

Once we upgrade a phone to 108.86.0.93 using 3cx, we get 'No Service' on the phone. Can't find a way to get them to work.

We've tried with the 108.86.0.90 version on the Yealink site, that also has the same issue.

In the meantime, we've done the 'hold speakerphone on boot' to restore to older firmware.

We have 6 phones that are all the same hardware version that have this same issue. The phones on Hardware Version 116.0.1.0.3.1.0 all work fine with latest firmware.

3cx 18.0 Update 9 (Build 31)Version.

Hi,

You haven't mentioned whether you tried to factory reset and reprovision from scratch on 108.86.0.93 or if you are using a network with special requirements like VLANs. Give that a go if you haven't already just to be sure.

Unfortunately I cannot verify your issue because our hardware revision does not match, but either way please contact Yealink support directly regarding this issue so they can investigate. They may ask you to provide them with device logs so make sure you have access to the device.

Let us know of the outcome please.

Apologies, in the 3cx phone provisioning screen, we're using a tagged VLAN on the PC port of the phone, but not tagging one on the internet port of the phone.

So on the switch, it's configured... vlanX = native, vlanY = tagged. vlanX is the one dedicated for our phones. We've been running like this for years in 3cx/Yealink.

Ok since it could be related to that, I think it would be worth testing one outside of a VLAN environment.

In case this is purely a VLAN issue, it would still be wise to investigate with Yealink Support, either so they can confirm and advise what you need to do, or in case they changed something that specifically affects VLAN.

Submitted to Yealink.
