T48G EOL ?

I understand Yealink T48G is EOL since April 2020 (with bug fix supposedly still being developed till 2026) and 3cx now list them as unsupported.
As far as we can tell everything works fine so far with our devices and 3cx v18.
Concretely what is to expect ? Is there any pressent reason not to use those phones anymore ?

The device is still supported but as an EOL device. It means that Yealink will no longer be sending us firmware updates for this model.

There's no reason not to use them so long as they serve you well, but it does mean that they may stop being compatible at some point in the undefined future.

Some past example where this has happened, was phones that do not support modern TLS ciphers, so they cannot be provisioned over STUN or SBC, but usually will still work fine in LAN environments. So far The T48G does not have such a problem or anything else I'm aware of.

So by all means, keep using the phones if they work fine, but going forward avoid re-purchasing the same model if you need replacements, just go for one of the newer supported ones.
