Hi Neil,

No, this model cannot be used as a router phone.

Hello,

Yealink T58 models are supported by 3CX.
The Supported IP Phones page shows the short list of supported IP Phones where we are listing some of the supported Yealink T5x models.

That link takes you to the guide of the Yealink T5 Series where you can find all supported Yealink T5x models

Perhaps a more general question is, which takes precedence... the 3CX Yealink page, the 3CX phone page, or the 3CX server?
3CX always keeps Phone provisioning guides up to date and provides detailed descriptions of how to provision IP Phones against the 3CX Phone System, I think, this gives more precedence to 3CX pages.

Got it, "some" being the important word there. :) Thanks.

The T58W is an Android based Yealink. The others are some kind of embedded linux....
I thought Yealink was working on it, to bring the SBC to Android based phones too. But i didn't hear any news from the Yealink channel about this

T58W phones will be able to be used as router phones after receiving a new firmware revision that adds the feature, starting from 3CX V20 final.

Nice.

Side note on those, it takes like 15-20 minutes to update firmware on those and reboot. Didn't expect that compared to all other Yealinks we've used.

Yup, that's normal because they run on android so the firmware ROM file is much larger than most phones.

Yeah I realized that immediately while it was happening but it wasn't fast enough to stop the client from asking "what's up with my phone? It's been offline for quite a while" I'd updated firmware right after provisioning it but it was on his desk so he was looking at it the whole time.
