Have a new customer that we want to integrate with Salesforce. So my question is should I set up the Teams integration and use Teams for inbound and outbound calling? OR should I use the Web Client and set up the salesforce integration with 3cx? I know both will do screen pops, call logging, etc...but with Teams it is one less app the end user has to install and configure.

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks!

You must use the 3CX app and integration if you want to use 3CX.

Teams app, then you will need to use Teams all the way.

The integration is just for 3CX users to call teams users, not to use Teams behind 3CX

@Nick Galea i integrated 3cx with Salesforce, but i have a problem with new tab in SF. In 3cx Desktop app i Settings/Integration/CRM Integration i choose "Open Contact in Supported CRM", choose "Salesforce", write Domain according to example: *.my.salesforce.com. But in SF during a call, open a new tab but in old interface (not lighting). What the correct path should look like in "Domain" in 3cx, to open a new interface in salesforce (lightning)?

Do you have 3CX FREE or SMB?

If not, you should use the server-side integration instead.

The integration should be configured on the server side (Management Console > Settings > CRM). From there select SalesforceV2. You can follow this guide for details:
https://www.3cx.com/docs/salesforce-crm-integration/

New contacts are not created automatically. You need to manually create them via the Webclient/DesktopApp using the "+ Add Contact" link in the dialer.

Can you confirm that a contact can be found using the Test button that you have in the 3CX Console > Settings > CRM? From there you can trigger a contact lookup and confirm that this part is working.

@edossantos I confirm that contact can be found using test button. But calling the contact window when calling doesn't work. It seems to me that the domain for Salesforce in 3cx Desktop App is set incorrectly. We use Salesforce in the lighting version and 3cx, when making an incoming call, it brings up a window in the old SF version every time. Does anyone know how to set the correct Salesforce domain address for lightning version?

This is because your client is configured incorrectly. In "Settings" > "Integration", you need to select the option "Open Contact URL using Server Side CRM Integration". It looks like you have selected "Open Contact in Supported CRM", which is an alternative way to trigger a contact search. In this case it will use the old Salesforce interface, because it's the only UI that provides this search functionality using an URL. But this is to be used mostly in the Free edition, which doesn't have the full server side integration. In your case you must not use this option.
