It's a painful feeling knowing that you can do nothing to help a situation like this for your customers. Anyone using Telnyx for SIP access? Looking for other options for a better alternative. SMS, MMS, and voice are requirements. I know 3CX supports a bunch of provider - looking for any good review with a lengthy history.

Thanks!

To be honest, you could change provider and that new one will probably get DDOS at some point too anyway.

There's not much we can do unfortunately.

I just hate hackers.

But they said they went to cloud flare to prevent this

Nothing seems good enough for those hackers. If Cloudflare can't even protect them, no one can.

That's why: Layers, layers, layers!

Is there anyway to have inbound route resilience between two difference carriers? Something like smart DNS but for phone numbers.

I was also having issues with telnyx being registered and unregistered today many times. I did not know they were under attack.

I hear amazon chime is becoming popular. Anyone with experience?

No it's not possible. Some carriers have failovers in the backend to forward calls but I don't know of any myself. Unfortunately, for inbound, there's nothing we can do, which sucks even more. I wish we could send DIDs to multiple carriers too!

The sad thing is : Amazon Chime is probably on the list of the next attacks. These hackers have been doing this for weeks now with every big providers. VoIP.ms, Bandwidth, and now Telnyx twice in a week. Apparently, this attack is evolving in real-time so the hackers are probably having their fun with Cloudflare's DDoS protection.

I hated Chime...they do not support inbound caller ID, unless that has changed. They also offer very little or no support. I also had issues where their registration would drop but still show there is a connection, just no calls pass from their end. Frustrated on that. Went to telnyx instead

A good bet would be to go to a provider which already mastered the issue.
I would assume will work it also out with Cloudflare. Alternatively as bigger as better a provider is set up to deal with stuff like this. Bandwidth seems to have gotten out of quite quickly. To note, we do not support MMS on Bandwidth!

The next step to take is IP whitelisting, this is how Bandwidth survived.

We use Telnyx and another carrier and we use an SBC (Ribbon) as failover.

Handful of Carriers (redundancy) > Private Networking with Cross Connects (VPC & VXC)> Ribbon SBC > 3CX Instances.
