We have a system where an external system (Twilio) generates announcement calls to be played over the speakerphone on certain phones. The destination phone is determined by the callerid of the call. Twillio sets the callerID to a text identifier and we have about a dozen inbound CID rules that are based off that text identifier.

This worked perfectly.... until i updated from 18u5 to 18u9. Now the callerid is being converted from the text to a numeric representation (based on the old 3-letters-keypad) and our CID rules no longer work. Obviously, the easiest fix is to just use those converted numbers as the CID for our inbound rules. But i was hoping someone knew of setting to get the old behavior back where 3cx didn't convert the callerid. Alternatively, maybe someone has an even better way of doing what we're trying to achieve. Thanks in advance.

---- UPDATE----

Looks like i jumped the gun. I tracked the problem down to the SIP INVITE msg from Twilio to 3CX. Seems like Twilio is randomly doing this conversion in the user part of the from address. In case anyone else has this issue I will report back what Twilio tech support says.

Good to know you identified the issue. Let us know the results.

I had noticed that the anomalous INVITE packets (the ones that were converting the text to number) were also missing a Date header. This gave Twilio enough to go on to track the issue down to bug in an update they are rolling out to the TwiML processor. For now, the fix is to have Twilio support lock your account to the old TwiML processor (no loss in functionality as far as i can tell).
